The instructional program at Sierra View Junior Academy consists of a curriculum that follows the California State Standards as well as the academic standards laid out by the Education Department of the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventists. These standards, integrated with Biblical truth throughout all subjects, help teachers keep the learning focus moving forward.
Sierra View’s instructional program finds balance through an over all scope and sequence chart for each academic area of study in each grade, focusing on high priority standards. Individual course curriculum guides, course outlines and daily lesson plans include the objectives of the NAD and state, biblical principles, daily review, lesson, assessment, and homework as necessary. The curriculum at Sierra View Junior Academy goes through a rigorous review process at the Central California Conference, Education Department to ensure that the academic program is sound. This review process happens annually in the spring in preparation for the new academic year.
